This 2001 West Bay has many factory upgrades including the 800hp Cat 3406E engines, cherry wood interior throughout, Kobelt shift engine controls (3) to name a few.  The owner of “Lynn Marie” has owned her for 11 years and cruised her extensively. Accommodations

The West Bay 58, a three stateroom, raised pilothouse motoryacht with cockpit and flybridge, has one of the finest interior arrangements of any similar type of yacht. “Lynn Marie” is crafted in satin varnished American Cherry throughout. With the exception of the galley pilothouse area and the heads, her floors are covered in carpet with a sound deadening underlayment. Head floors are covered in marble tile. Closets and hanging lockers are lined with aromatic cedar. Windows on the main deck are a gray tinted, heat-treated laminated glass. All living spaces have either opening ports, overhead hatches or sliding windows for natural ventilation. She is fully air-conditioned

Her engine room is unlike any other yacht in her size/category with full standing headroom and a thoughtful layout making maintenance and accessibility to equipment unbelievably easy.

Staterooms are accessed via a staircase forward from the starboard side of the pilothouse.

Salon

Three steps down from the pilothouse or three steps up from the cockpit, an open and airy space with great visibility all around. To port is a very large U-shaped sofa with a coffee table in front. Forward to starboard is a custom cabinet for wine bottles and glasses continuing along the starboard side to an entertainment center in a custom cabinet with a popup television screen. The double aft doors, with rollaway screens, open to the cockpit. The aft port window is sliding.  Additional features include:

Galley

An extraordinary outboard facing U-shaped galley, with a large screened sliding window, exposing your surroundings is located in the aft port corner of the pilothouse. It is efficient in design, layout and storage space. All countertops are finished in corian, the floor is teak style and the sink is a double stainless basin with single lever faucet.

Opposite the galley is a leather covered dinette, capable of seating four comfortably, with granite topped pedestal table and storage beneath. Aft of the dinette is a curved staircase to the flybridge. Outboard is a screened sliding window. The galley includes:

Pilothouse

At the same level as the galley and dinette, it is centered around a curved console with navigation and full engine instrumentation and engine controls. To port is a chart/work area with chart drawers and storage beneath. Helmsman chair is a leather covered Stidd seat. Windows are kept clear, when needed, by three multi speed marine grade windshield wipers with washers and air defrost system. Port and starboard access is through flush fit aircraft type sliding doors with rollaway screens. Instrumentation includes:

Cockpit

Entered from the port side swim platform door or double doors from the main salon. Vented storage lockers out and aft, port and starboard. A swing out panel with Kobelt engine and bow thruster controls is located tucked away in the forward port locker, to enable docking from back aft. There is a sink and faucet in a cabinet just to right of the salon doors, a Jennaire electric barbecue grill to the left of the doors and a hand held shower at the transom. The area is well lighted with a floodlight on the overhang and courtesy lighting down low. The stairs to the salon swing up for walk in access to full headroom engine compartment. A large centerline hatch opens to a commodious lazarette that offers enormous storage space. Forward to port is the hatch and ladder to the flybridge.

Master Stateroom

Located amidships to take advantage of the full beam of the boat. A centerline queen size bed with composite 7″ mattress, large storage beneath and night stands on either side with swing arm reading lights on the headboard. The aft bulkhead is a beveled mirror. To starboard is a large dresser with drawers and doors, a cabinet with 32″ TV and large hanging locker. Forward to port is a larger lighted walk in closet and separate locker for the Whirlpool stacked washer and dryer.

Master Head

The ensuite master head runs fore and aft along the port side. The vanity top is marble with undermounted oval sink and Moen single lever faucet. Aft is a stall shower with glass door and single lever Moen showerhead. Forward is the VacuFlush freshwater toilet. The medicine cabinet is finished with beveled mirror doors, the headliner is a fitted mirror and the ventilating fan has a automatic timer.

VIP Stateroom Forward

Centerline queen sized berth with innerspring mattress, upgraded bedspread and pillow shams, and large storage beneath. There is a lighted hanging locker with shelf storage, 2 Lewmar overhead hatches with Ocean screens/shades, a dresser and lockers, built in shelves outboard and mirrored forward bulkhead. A  27″ TV/DVD combo, telephone and stereo speakers with volume control are fitted in the cabin.

Guest Head

Located opposite the port guest stateroom with marble topped vanity and Moen single lever faucet, beveled mirrored medicine cabinets, VacuFlush freshwater toilet, automatic ventilating fan on a timer, fitted mirror headliner and storage cupboard and drawers below the vanity. There is also a shower stall with single lever Moen showerhead and glass door.

Guest Stateroom Port

Upper and lower berths, outboard, fitted with 7″ innerspring mattresses and upgraded bedspreads and pillow shams. There is a lighted hanging locker and a full height storage locker forward with shelves.

Flybridge

Accessed directly from the pilothouse or stairs from the aft cockpit to an unusually large area with console forward for navigation and instrumentation. Cushioned helm chair on center and passenger seat to port, aft are two facing L-shaped settees with individual tables, with a walkway between to the dinghy storage area with hydraulic davit and cradled Elliot Mark IV 6-person liferaft (new 2020). The flybridge is completely covered, well aft of the hinged radar arch, with a removable bimini. Equipment includes:

Electrical System

West Bay has developed a high quality AC/DC ships electrical system that begins with a custom load switching AC circuit breaker panel for balancing generator and shore power to obtain maximum efficiency. It is further supported by a Yacht-O-Matic automatic electrical source switching system to provide hands off control for generators and shore power loads. There are analog meters to monitor AC and DC amps and volts. Low voltage AC halogen, 120 volt fluorescent, and 12 volt lighting is used appropriately throughout the boat. Included are:

Construction

White hull is vacuum bonded hand laid up fiberglass Knytex and BTI with 1″ core cell, urethane foam core fiberglass stringers, and ISO Arrstech resin osmosis protection below the waterline. The deck is cored, as are all bulkheads. Barium filled foam composite laminate in engine room bulkheads and overhead for sound insulation. Bilges and machinery spaces are finished out in epoxy paint for ease of maintenance. The hull is protected with a rubrail capped with a stainless steel striker. All handrails and rail fittings are 1 1/4″ 316 stainless. 12 cleats (4 bow, 2 stern, 4 springline and 2 flush popup on swim platform) An anchor platform with bow roller is fitted on the foredeck. Propeller shafts and hydrodynamic rudders are stainless steel. A  port side door opens to the swim platform.
